In my last post, I introduced you to Greg Gonzalez – one of the many accomplished musicians working with E4 Youth on the Music Legacy Project.   Based in Laredo, TX, Gonzalez is a seasoned musician who contributes his talents to numerous award-winning musical acts including Grupo Fantasma, Brownout, Money Chicha and Turku. His expertise does not stop at electric & upright bass – he has worked at The Recording Conservatory of Austin for a year and a half, teaching musicians the ins and outs of music production and studio mixing. With an extensive history of songwriting, composing, producing, studio engineering and performing, it seems that there is nothing he can’t do.

As I’ve stated many times before, the connections that our students are being provided with are priceless. To be in collaboration with someone who has performed with the likes of Prince is an incredible privilege. An experience like this is one that can’t be bought, but rather, is a mix of luck, opportunity and undeniable talent. Watch an edit of his interview with E4 Youth and see the Music Legacy Project through his eyes.
