Community stories become career pathways.

E4 Youth prepares young people for careers in creative and technology industries by turning community stories into pathways for learning, leadership, and employment. Through real-world projects, young people build creative and technical skills, work alongside professionals, create portfolio-ready work, and move toward paid opportunities and careers.

Simple Outcome Story

From story to skill to opportunity.

Community stories give young people something real to investigate, create, and share.

Story

Explore people, places, memories, and experiences that shape a community.

Skill

Learn through research, design, storytelling, production, technology, and collaboration.

Opportunity

Build portfolio work, work with professionals, and contribute to real projects.

Leadership

Move into paid work, career opportunities, mentorship, and leadership.

The 4E Framework

A circular pathway for growth, opportunity, and leadership.

Young people can enter the E4 ecosystem through different experiences and at different stages. As they build confidence, skills, and professional experience, they move through the 4Es and can eventually return to Engage others.

What the public experiences as history, storytelling, and immersive media is also a learning environment for young people.

At the WOW Heritage Center, young people research community history, record oral histories, create digital media and immersive experiences, work alongside professionals, and build portfolio-ready work.

For visitors, it's a cultural experience. For young people, it's a pathway.

Community stories. Career pathways.

“I knew I knew how to write. Carl told me we can get you a job, but you have to be ready. And then he didn't just say that, he walked with me for the next two years until I was ready. I wouldn't have had this job without E4 Youth.”

Careers are built through relationships.

Young people do not build careers alone. E4 Youth brings together families, educators, mentors, artists, technologists, culture bearers, employers, funders, community organizations, and alumni to create real pathways into work and leadership.
