(Austin, TX) – Skillpoint Alliance’s Digital Media Council is now accepting entries to compete in the Digital Media Exchange (DMX). Entries are judged by a panel of digital
media industry professionals, and winning submissions are then honored at an
awards ceremony and reception on Saturday, May 1, 2010. DMX is sponsored by DELL.

DMX is a regional competition for Central Texas high school students to showcase their digital media skills to industry
professionals, educators, and community leaders. Students
in grades 9 – 12 are invited to submit original film, video games,
animation, 2D portfolio, social media, and webcast journalism projects they created
individually or as part of a small team (2-12 students). Cash prizes are
being awarded to first, second, and third place winners in each category, as
well as an overall “Best in Show” cash prize of $1,000. The
submission deadline for DMX is Friday, April 16, 2010.

Skillpoint Alliance
is a nonprofit organization that builds partnerships among industry, education
and the community, leading to college and career success for Central Texans,
while meeting employers’ needs for a qualified workforce. It hosts the Digital Media Council, which supports and creates industry-led
collaborations with educators and community leaders to promote the economic
