Plot: Dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens have been rescued from their abusers, and even though they look sad, starved, and injured, there’s hope that donors could help these animals.
Characters: Sarah McLachlan, injured animals
Conflict: There’s not enough money or homes to support the neglected animals.
Setting: An animal clinic.
Theme: Donate money to help the dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens.
Production Role: I chose the director, they had to visualize each and every step of this commercial. They decided on the a screenplay, and they often times work with the cinematographers on the shots they want, during post-production, directors also work with the editors to make the perfect movie. I believe the hardest part for the director was pre-production, having to put something together for a touchy commercial could have been really stressful.

Plot: Hazel Grace, a 16 year old girl living with a cancerous tumor in her lungs, and is forced to spend her days in a cancer support group. That’s where she meets Augustus Waters, 17 year old in remission, and amputee. Augustus shows Hazel how to live even though she’s dying.
Characters: Hazel Grace Lancaster, Augustus Waters, Peter Van Houten, Lidewij Vliegenthart, Mrs. Lancaster, Mrs. Waters, Mr. Waters, Mr. Lancaster, Isaac, Patrick, Kaitlyn
Conflict: Hazel and Augustus experience a life-altering event, having to do with one of their cancer.
Setting: I believe it was a modern suburban part of Chicago, and Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Theme: Love triumphs over hardship and struggle.
Production Role: I’m going to choose to write about the cinematographer. I found it difficult to get really clean shots that were also very fast. They most likely struggled with satisfying the director, having to cooperate with everything they say.

Plot: After the disappearance of their leader, Alison DiLaurentis, they begin receiving various messages from someone using the alias “A” who threatens to expose their secrets.
Characters: Spencer Hastings, Hanna Marin, Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields, Alison DiLaurentis
Conflict: They’re being blackmailed.
Setting: Rosewood, Pennsylvania(small town)
Theme: Secrecy ruins friendships.
Production Role: The editor must have struggled with having to decide in what order it was going to switch to from the voice over, and then back to the characters. They also have to make really smooth cuts and transitions. People rely on the editor to put it all together.
Target Market: Teenage girls, and young woman who are into mysteries. If the story line was switched to something more about comedy, i’m sure the audience would be bigger. Most of my friends like watching comedies and its a mix of guys and girls, also, a bunch of my uncles are really into comedy as well. I’m just speaking based off of my surroundings.
