Special Presentation, Performance and Community Discussion
Due to growth, Austin is America’s #1 city for spending on things like food and drinks but many African American businesses lack a digital presence that can attract these new consumers… We want to address this issue”
Tomas Diamante – E4 Youth Creative
Despite Austin’s status as the fastest growing city in America, our African-American demographic is shrinking. Participants in E4 Youth’s Shadow the Pros program have spent the summer exploring this subject. They’ve unearthed some impressive insights about why it’s happening and what we as a community can do to address the issue.
The event, in conjunction with RAS Day (a festival produced by Austin’s first African American Band of the Year 2014, 2015), will feature a special performance, two short documentary films with first hand accounts from local leaders and entrepreneurs as well as an audience question and answer session. Don’t miss an opportunity to join this important conversation!
