About E4 Youth

E4 Youth is a 501(c)(3) NonProfit Organization and technology start up based in Austin TX whose mission is to Engage, Empower, Educate and Employ the young talent of color an equitable future demands by ensuring that they are Seen, Heard and HIRED. 

Over the past 15 years, E4 Youth has distinguished itself as an innovative leader in youth workforce development helping thousands of youth build quality digital portfolios, participate in job shadowing, apprenticeship, and internship opportunities as they move on to high-growth careers at top creative and technology companies across the U.S.

The heart of E4 Youth’s talent pipeline is the Creative Leadership Academy (CLA). As participants, college-aged youth work directly with industry professionals to build portfolios, receive a stipend upon completing components of the program, and qualify for employment opportunities. Employment opportunities include paid internships with our partners, as well as paid employment with E4 Youth as Creative Mentors that lead our high school-aged Get Creative Enrichment Clubs and as Digital Docents that lead digital skill building and content creation activities for K – 8 youth throughout the community as part of What Once Was – a location-based mixed reality (AR/VR) engine and curriculum that build community through storytelling and Web 3.0 technologies.

 

Executive Vice President of Operations Job Description:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board of Directors, the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Operations has overall strategic and operational responsibility for E4 Youth’s staff, programs and execution of its mission. They have deep knowledge of educational outreach, curriculum and workforce development approaches. Working with the CEO, they  spearhead E4 Youth’s core programs, operations, and business plans.

 

Responsibilities

Leadership & Management:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans that meet business goals and objectives created in partnership with the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Create and maintain a culture of transparency and communication throughout the organization.
  • Ensure ongoing local programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals.
  • Actively engage and energize E4 Youth’s volunteers, board members, event committees, alumni, partnering organizations, and funders.
  • Work with the CEO to develop, maintain, and support a strong Board of Directors; seek and build board involvement with strategic direction for both ongoing local operations as well as for the national rollout.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and retain E4 Youth’s high-performance senior management team including the Education Director, Administrative Director and Program Coordinators. 
  • Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress i.e. a digital dashboard, and regularly evaluate program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, and other constituents.

 

Fundraising & Communications:

  • Support grant writing efforts by making data easily accessible and ensuring that grant reporting is done in an accurate and timely manner. 
  • Work with staff and others to support and expand local revenue generating and fundraising activities to support existing program operations and regional expansion.
  • Use external presence and relationships to garner new opportunities.

 

Planning & New Business:

  • Work with the CEO to support the national expansion and the strategic business planning process for the program expansion into new markets.
  • Help build partnerships in new markets, establish  relationships with the funders, and political and community leaders at each expansion site.
  • Publish and communicate program results with an emphasis on the successes of the local program as a model for regional and national replication.

 

Compensation

Up to $85,000.

Location: Austin, TX 

No relocation.
